Argentina: Mapping the Water Landscape

Haiti: Global Potential's “Hispaniola Youth Rise” project

Haiti and the DR are facing times that are both challenging and full of potential. Hispaniola Youth Rise is a proposed project of Global Potential (GP) building on its current mission to empower youth and communities to energize each other through education, international service, cultural exchange, and the use of documentary and social media. Chile: Piam

Piam, consists in mythological histories native mapuche. These histories will be narrated by indigenous communities who live in rural area, they will be recorded in video, edited in a way didactic andexhibit in a Web page,where mapuche people can interact . The histories will be supported by drawings on the mitólogia mapuche, realized by Julio Muñoz,mapuche artist.These histories will be projected in rural schools for the mapuche children.

Czech Republic: The European Anti-Corruption Centre ( EurACC.EU )

Our goal is to make micro videos visible on mobile phones and pad devices to train Czech community members how to use of citizen media tools for whistle blowing cases of suspected corruption and fraud in the Czech Republic. The European Anti-Corruption Centre ( EurACC.EU ), being built will have a special whistleblowing tool and the purpose of our microgrant applicaiton is to support making the training videos in Czech, English & Russian.

Honduras: Youth and Violence Investigative Reporting Project

Every hour and twenty minutes a person dies in Honduras. The murder rate is 85.5 per 100,000 inhabitants and many of them are young people. Working in collaboration with Jovenes Contra La Violencia, Conexihon and USAID we will launch an investigative reporting series that will air on State channel 8 and a cable channel. This 5-part series will focus on analysis, the causes and impact of violence against youth and potential solutions.

India: Inclusion – Including Migrants to Decide about Migrants

To empower representatives of Internal Migrants (IM) / displaced Persons (IDP’s) to express their issues on digital platform (internet), by training them in: blogging, record and edit audio & videos, presentations and uploading them on Wikimedia, YouTube, slide share etc. We also plan to facilitate constructive dialogues between all stakeholders i.e. Migrants and the Native residents / citizens and by linking them on online platforms, website etc

Honduras: Vozz Honduras

VOZZ is a citizen journalism election training project – it was implemented during Guatemala’s election in 2011 and El Salvador’s municipal election in 2012. Vozz will be launched in Honduras during its national elections in November 2013. The project’s goal is to teach electoral processes, reporting skills, the use of digital reporting tools, and self-publication on the Vozz HN website. We seek funding for two Training of Trainers “bootcamps”.

Hungary: Youngsters Living with Disabilities Videoblogging Photoblogging

We would like to teach youngsters who live with disabilities how to use and edit social media by themselves.They would tell their life, their daily challenges, how they solve their daily problems. We would teach them how to photoblog, videoblog and would buy helmet cams which could be fixed on their wheelchair or on their head after that we teach them how to edit and upload. Those who can’t use the mouse would be helped by volenteer youngsters.
