These accounts are heartbreaking to read, though necessary in order to comprehend the reality that many people are faced with on a daily basis. While it's a small consolation, this medium allows their voices to be heard, and reach the hearts of people around the world.

I share Adelynne's thoughts; Is anything being done, or being planned, to help out these families?

I confess I don't fully know the situation there, and the following may sound naive on my part; Have the people themselves gotten together to discuss their plight? While the solutions to their problems don't seem easily reached, a gathering can at least foster a sense of solidarity and community amongst the people. In the absence of formal aid, many communities turn inwards to discuss and attempt to implement solutions (if only temporary) or simply for support.

Please keep sharing these stories, and update us on these two courageous women.

I feel so much for Debi Shau. And I also realise how difficult things can be for her as well as Bhabani. Can't anybody in those areas help them? Or are their situations "unhelp-able"? I sincerely hope not...
