Introduction:
On Dec. 27 2007 a surprise victory for former president Mwai Kibaki in the Kenyan presidential election was followed by arson and violence aroused by suspicions of vote rigging. Nakuru, Kenya, where Repacted is based, was at first an oasis of calm in the post-election violence, but it too fell victim to leashing out of angry voters. Tens of thousands of Kenyans were displaced from their homes in the resulting violence and are still living in temporary displacement camps in Nakuru. While the mainstream media says that Kenya has returned to normal, the Repacted team will train displaced residents living in the camps how to tell their own stories online so that they're ordeal is not forgotten.
