Minya: Workshop Participants Begin by Narrating Their Stories
Participants from the Women of Minya Day by Day project recently took part in a workshop where they learned ways to tell their own stories. They received tips on the best way to narrate their experiences for future recording in audio and video. These are some of those stories.

Exploring Taboos: Discussing Female Genital Mutilation
Blogger Ahmad Awadalla conducts sexuality education workshops in Egypt, and has been using his blog to share some of his experiences in this field. As one of the participants of the “Exploring Taboos” project, Awadalla has been documenting these experiences in his blog A Rebel with a Cause, where he wrote about discussions about the topic of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) with his students.

Global Citizen Media Guide Now Available in Macedonian and Albanian
Rising Voices is pleased to announce that our Introduction to Global Citizen Media Guide is now available in Macedonian and Albanian, thanks to the efforts of Elena Ignatova and the Metamorphosis Foundation. The Guide is now available in seven languages and counting.

[Video] Introduction to Mokattam Blog Tales
Nesma Gewily is the coordinator of the Mokattam Blog Tales project in the Masaken Alzelzal - Alhadba Alwosta neighborhood of Cairo, Egypt. In this video, Nesma describes the project, in partnership with the Alwan Wa Awtar organization, which will teach the neighborhood's teenagers how to document and tell the story of their community using citizen media tools.
